The Friends of Hawthorn (FOH)

At Hawthorn, we have an active Parents and Friends Association known as the Friends of Hawthorn. Please read on to learn more about the work that The Friends of Hawthorn do...

We are a group of parents, grandparents, carers and friends who work together to run fun events for the Hawthorn community with the aim of raising additional funds for the school. We feel these events make Hawthorn special and are a valuable part of every child’s memories of the school, whilst the money raised directly benefits all of our children and helps to enrich their time here.

We run Christmas & summer fairs, cake sales, disco & movie nights, raffles, non-uniform days and much more (new ideas are always welcome!).  So far, the funds we have raised have supported everything from a new school minibus to play equipment in the playground, as well as books, computers and extra gifts for classes. Our current fundraising goal is to support the school in purchasing a large number of new laptops/iPads!

We meet at least once every half-term to plan events & catch up together. Being involved with the FOH is a brilliant way to meet other parents from all year groups with a shared interest in getting involved in our children’s school and building a connection between parents and school staff. We are a friendly bunch!

If you would like to know more about what we do, please get in touch via below. We are currently a small team and welcome new faces and ideas at any time! There is no obligation to help all the time, and we really appreciate everyone who volunteers to support us with our fundraising.
