You may have noticed a few changes around our school grounds recently. Very sadly we have had to remove the apple tree from the playground area. We asked a tree surgeon to advise us about treating the tree, because we were concerned that it could be becoming a health and safety issue, and when he examined it he confirmed the worst. The tree was rotten on the inside and we were advised that it needed to be removed. Whilst the tree was being taken down we took the opportunity to also remove the conifer hedge from around this area, as we felt it would give us the opportunity to develop the area properly.
